Evening Cove Oysters Ltd. was founded in 2000 by Andrew Dryden. During studies at Malaspina University in the Fisheries & Aquaculture program students got the opportunity to work on practicum placements throughout the island at various aquaculture facilities which included salmon hatcheries, consulting firms & shellfish farms.
After his first day working on an oyster farm he was hooked. Just being on the water working the oyster beds & all the interesting innovative things being tried to grow the oysters was a perfect fit.
Andrew had the opportunity to buy the oyster farm he did his practicum at & with the support of his parents Evening Cove Oysters began. A second beach lease was acquired soon after. Over the years the farms grew & new techniques were developed to grow our beautiful products. In 2005 the opportunity to get into the processing side of the business presented itself & Evening Cove Oysters Processing Ltd. was formed.
12 years later Evening Cove Oysters has become a fully integrated seafood company offering Shucked Pacific Oysters, Tray Oysters, Beach Oysters, & Manila Clams. With markets all over the world we ship shellfish 52 weeks of the year.
